Galatians 1:1-2
Today, many people are saying that religions are the same because the goal of all religions is the same. We all are going to the same God, the highest God. Many true Christians, including some theologians, are saying that Christ may not be the only way to God. We can see several books on this and they have very good reasons for this argument.
When I read this scripture portions, Apostle Paul mentions that he is the apostle sent by Jesus Christ and God the Father. If we read carefully, we notice that the Father that Paul mentions here is the Father who raised Jesus from the dead. Paul is talking about the Father, who is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hence, it is really sure that Christians believe that Father of our Lord Jesus Christ rather than the highest God. Of course, God is the highest of all. What Paul means here is Christians believe the true God who is the Father. Not one of the gods in the world. Hence, we are sure that there is no way to the true God apart from Jesus. Jesus said “if you have seen, you have seen the Father.” Today, our text reminds us that Jesus is really the only WAY to God.
Father, teach us to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ because he is the only way to you. |
